Sensei Bill Witthar has been practicing Aikido since 1988, currently holds the rank of 5th Dan and has the privilege of being a designated Fukushidoin (Certified examiner) in both the United States Aikido Federation and Aikido Shimbokukai. 

 

Over the years Bill has been honored to receive instruction from several of Morihei Ueshiba's (O'Sensei) direct students; 

Mitsunari Kanai, Yoshimitsu Yamada, Seiichi Sugano & Akira Tohei.

Throughout the 90's & 2000's Sensei Witthar has organized and brought significant seminar events to the Kansas City area. Instructors such as Hiroshi Ikeda, Lisa Tomoleoni, Harvey Konigsberg, Claude Berthiaume, Donovan Waite, Larry Bieri, Skip Chapman, Ferenc Gyulafia & Koichi Barrish.

 

Sensei Witthar has conducted workshops involving aikido principles with corporate management teams from Boston Market, Sprint, Community America Credit Union, local Chamber of Commerce groups around the Kansas City. He's also been a contributing provider with the Warriors Ascent Academy of Healing helping veterans, law enforcement and First Responders struggling with elements of PTSD.
